What was the moment that sparked your project?

The energy scarcity crisis in Nigeria inspired our project. As I type this message, the street across my area have gone days without electric power supply. This shouldn't be so. Households need electric power for ironing, running appliances like refrigerators and even fans or Air conditioners as we enter the hot season. Schools are rounding up, students need light to study and prepare for their examinations. Businesses need to run. We have chosen to make a difference — the reason we created Solar Bank Organisation.

What impact do you hope to see in 10 years?

We believe in the success of our project and hopefully expect the following impacts:

  1. 24/7 available power supply in previously underserved areas
  2. Affordable power supply

How has the GSC shaped your thinking or your team?

What makes your team or project truly remarkable?

Resilience is a common trait among my team members. We believe in the success of this project and will put in all efforts required and not relent.
