The Story of Team Bits N Bytes

Our city is prone to getting affected by storms and floods and we have been in situations where we were stuck in our homes without power for extended periods. One such situation when government had announced holidays for educational institutes after heavy rains was when this project started.

During our search we noticed most essential shops in our vicinity were closed while others on higher ground, 2-3 kilometres away, were still open. That's when we thought: what if we could build a system that lets people know where to go during or after a disaster?

Near 100% connectivity even during active disaster. A system that leaves no one behind. No senior citizens succumbing to the cold with no one to rescue. No kids stuck in homes without food. No patient left without life saving medication. No story of entire villages going without electricity and communication for a whole month.

We have been able to brainstorm further, discuss with a variety of users from varied locations, and identify various new requirements, key pain points, and build a UI as a starting point to get feedback.

We have worked out methodologies to implement one of our past encryption frameworks (patent published) into the network backbone of the current GSC project. Our team is age, gender and culturally diverse along with a multitude of skillsets allowing us to get various approaches and effective brainstorming sessions.
