I hold a B.Tech. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur and a Diploma de Estudios Avanzados (DEA; Diploma of Advanced Studies) from Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Spain. I earned my Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University under the supervision of Dr. Herschel A. Elliott. Following my doctoral work, I was a postdoctoral researcher in Dr. Stephen P. Long’s laboratory at the University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign (UIUC) and at UNICAMP, Brazil. Before joining IIT Palakkad as a faculty member, I also served as a Research Scientist at UIUC.
