Ouyang Hua is a Chief Research Professor at the Institute of Aero Engines, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where he also serves as Vice Dean of the Aero Engine Research Institute and Deputy Director of the Ministry of Education's Engineering Research Center for Gas Turbine and Civil Aero Engines. He earned his Ph.D. in Power Machinery and Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2003, following his M.S. from Changsha Railway University in 1998 and B.S. from the same institution in 1995. Professor Ouyang began his academic career at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2003, progressing from Lecturer to Associate Professor, and was appointed as Research Professor in 2016. His international experience includes a visiting scholarship at the University of Michigan in 2006. His research focuses on aero engine unstable flow and aeroacoustics, fan/compressor internal flow experiments and numerical simulations, and low-noise design of high-bypass ratio turbofan engines. Professor Ouyang holds several academic positions including Council Member of the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics and serves on editorial boards for journals including RENEWABLE ENERGY.
