Zhou Guoyan is a Professor at the School of Mechanical and Power Engineering, East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST). She earned her Ph.D. in Chemical Process Machinery from ECUST in 2007 and has been teaching there since graduation. Her academic career includes international research experiences as a visiting scholar at Northwestern University (2012-2013) and collaborative research at Chun-Ang University in South Korea (2009). Professor Zhou's research focuses on advanced structural design and manufacturing technologies for high-end thermal equipment in nuclear power, aerospace, marine engineering and fuel cell applications. She has led numerous research projects including National Natural Science Foundation grants and National Key R&D Programs, publishing over 100 papers and authoring 8 books while holding more than 20 national patents. Her outstanding work has been recognized with several prestigious awards including the National Science and Technology Progress Award (2013) and she was selected for the Shanghai Pujiang Talent Program in 2014.
